Heated Throw

A heated throw can be used in any season of the year.  It does not matter if it is cold or hot outside.
There is nothing better than being nice and cozy and warm underneath a blanket.  Getting under one that
is already warm is the best.  There is no getting in bed to cold sheets.  You do not have to lay there until
your body heat warms up the bedding.

If your bedroom is one that is really cold, whether it because you get a whole lot of cold air from the
air conditioner or you do not get enough heat in the winter, you could definitely use an electric blanket.

Is it a good idea to get an electric throw?  Lets take a look at some things.

A heated throw does give you warmth.  There are a lot of people that try and save on their electric bills
by using one of these low voltage  fleece or plush blankets.  If you have a spouse, girlfriend or
boyfriend, you may want to look into getting one of many different types of a warming blanket.  This
would be a dual control type.  This has just what it says.  Two controls where one side can be a differnt
temperature than the other.  These will be a little higher in price range.  Heating yourself with a
sunbeam electric blanket is a whole lot cheaper than heating the whole house.

Another feature of today’s micro-plush, polyester or any other material that they can be made of is the
addition of a timer.  A timer allows the seller of one of these blankets to a customer to feel safe when
they leave home.  The timer will turn the heated throw off at a set time.  As you can see, this is a big
factor for people that are afraid of forgetting to turn the heated throw off.

There are some other things that you should know to.  If your heated blanket stops working in the
middle of the night and the heat is turned way down, you may wake up cold.  If you put out a lot of
body heat, you may stay warm.

Other things people worry about is the risk of fire.  If not maintained and treated properly, one of these
blankets may start a fire if it gets to hot.  If you are under it you will probably wake up from the heat
before this happens.  You should always make sure the heated throw is unplugged when you get up.

If you are careful and take care of the blanket, you should be fine.  Getting into bed on those cold winter
nights with a heated throw to pull over you is great feeling.
